About Garage Door Pros LA

We are a garage door company working across Los Angeles County, and we start with the front of your house. We put the price in writing before any work, and it holds.

Repairs and installation(310) 857-2520

We agree on an arrival window when we book the visit.

Two kinds of call reach us. One is urgent: a door stopped halfway, a car shut in, a spring that let go overnight. The other is slower, and it starts with how the front of the house looks from the sidewalk.

Both are the same trade. A garage door is the largest moving part of a home and usually the largest flat surface facing the street. It has to work every morning, and it has to look like it belongs to the building behind it. So we start with the elevation of the house before we talk about doors. You can try that on your own frontage with our visualizer, which builds a preview from a photo you upload.

What our technicians work on

Garage doors and driveway gates, and the parts of them that fail: torsion and extension springs, cables, drums, rollers, tracks, panels, openers and gate operators.

Our technicians carry the common parts that normal garage door service calls for, so an everyday fault on a residential door is not usually a wait for a part to arrive. When a door needs something we do not carry, you hear that at diagnosis, with the written price, and not after the work has started.

What we do

A Los Angeles residential street with three closed garage doors on three different house types.

What we will not do

  • Charge you to look. The inspection and estimate are free, and they stay free if you decide against the repair.
  • Move the number. You get a written price after diagnosis, and that price holds.
  • Do work you have not approved. If we open a door and find a second fault, we stop and tell you before anything else is touched.

What goes on the invoice

The part we install is written on the invoice with its specification. The invoice says which spring, not only that a spring was replaced, and the same goes for an opener or a set of rollers. When the door needs attention in a few years, you or the technician standing in front of it can read what is already on there.

A garage door jammed part way up with the section stack skewed and one roller out of its channel.

Springs and off-track doors

A snapped torsion spring and a door off its track are dangerous. The spring carries the weight of the door under tension and can release without warning. A door off its track can drop. Do not pull on either one or raise the door by hand, and do not run the opener to see what happens. Keep cars and people out of the opening and call us.

If you want to work out what you are looking at first, the problem pages cover a broken spring, a door off its track, a door that will not close, an opener that runs while the door stays put, and the noises a door makes before something fails.

Price, and where to start

We do not publish a figure for a job nobody has looked at yet. What we can tell you is what moves it, and that is set out on what affects the price. You can ask about financing.
