Garage door repair in Los Angeles
Springs, cables, tracks, openers and doors that will not close, anywhere in Los Angeles County. The inspection and the estimate are free whether you go ahead or not, and the price is written down before anything is touched.

What usually goes wrong
Most of the calls we get about sectional overhead doors come down to a small number of faults. A spring snaps and the door is too heavy to lift. A cable jumps off its drum and one side drops. A safety eye gets nudged out of line and the door will not stay down. Or the opener runs, sounds healthy, and nothing moves.
- It will not close, or it closes and reverses straight back up
- A spring has snapped and the door will not lift
- A cable has come off, or the door sits crooked in the track
- Grinding, banging or a screech on the way up
- The motor runs and nothing moves
If none of those quite describes it, the symptom guide works backward from what you can see and hear.

Two faults to stand back from
A snapped torsion spring and a door off its track are dangerous. A spring holds a great deal of stored energy and can injure someone badly when it lets go, and a door that has left its track can fall. Do not force it or touch the release cord while the door is up. Keep everyone out from underneath. Both are emergency callouts. Spring repair and cable and track repair mean letting tension out in a controlled way, with the right tools.

What happens on the visit
Our technicians look at the whole door, not only the part that failed. Springs, cables, drums, rollers, hinges, track and opener all work against each other, and a worn part leaves its marks on the ones next to it. You are told what is wrong and what it costs before anything is touched.
Our technicians carry the common parts a normal garage door service calls for. Those cover the ordinary failures, so the work often starts on the same visit it was quoted on. A door built to an odd size, or an older opener that needs a component no longer made, can mean special-ordering a part, and you hear about that at the estimate and not afterward.
If a second fault turns up while we are there, you hear about it and you decide. The part that goes on is named on the invoice with its specification, so you can see what went on your door.
Booking one is short work. Call, we answer, and we arrange the appointment with you on that call. If you send the form instead, we get back to you and arrange it then.

Deciding who to hire
Three questions separate most garage door companies quickly. Is the free service call conditional on approving the repair? Does the quote name the part it is pricing, down to the cycle rating of the spring? And is the price written down before work starts, or read out afterward? Ask us the same three.
You can ask about financing if a repair turns into a bigger job. What moves a repair price is the part, the access and the state of the rest of the door, set out on what affects the price.

When a repair is not the right answer
Sometimes the door has had its run. A bottom section rusted through. A door patched twice already. An opener wearing itself out against a door grown too heavy for it. You will be told when that is the case, and there is no pressure to decide on the spot.
If replacement comes into it, you can upload a photograph of your frontage and see a new door drawn onto your own house before committing to anything, or look through the doors we install. An opener can be changed on its own if the door is sound. Otherwise, book a free estimate and start with our technician looking at it.
