Privacy Policy

This page explains what Garage Door Pros LA collects when you use this website, what we do with it, and the choices you have.

What we collect

When you get in touch through the site, we collect what you give us: your name, phone number, email address, ZIP code or address, what is going on with the door, and any photos you send. We also record when you sent it, your IP address, and how you found us, such as the page you arrived on or the ad you clicked. We keep a record that you agreed to be contacted.

The door visualizer

If you use the visualizer, you send us a photo of the front of your house with your first name, mobile number and ZIP code. We text a short code to that number and you type it back. We text you nothing else. We keep a record of each code we send, with the mobile number and the IP address it was requested from.

Your photo goes to an outside image company to make the preview. That is the only thing on this site that sends something of yours to anybody outside this business. We cannot tell you what that company keeps, or for how long. We never use your photo or preview in our marketing, and we do not use them to train software.

Photos and previews are deleted after 30 days, or after 24 hours if the number was never confirmed. You can delete yours sooner with the button on the visualizer. The button works in the browser you used, for seven days. After that, or on another device, the 30 days is what removes it, or call us and we will do it by hand. Deleting destroys the photo and the preview. The first name, mobile number and ZIP code you typed stay with us as a record that you asked and that we deleted it.

How we use it

We use your details to contact you, arrange and carry out the work, and keep records of the job. When you send the form, we get an email about it so that we can call you back. We also use your details to keep the site secure, block spam and see which of our ads are working.

Who we share it with

We share your details with the people who carry out your job, and with the service providers that run parts of this site for us, such as hosting, text messages, image processing and backups. Your photo is never passed to our technician when we come to look at the door. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies

We store a few small items in your browser. One remembers which ad or website brought you here, for 30 days. One refills the form if something goes wrong when you send it, and one keeps your visualizer session for 7 days. We do not use cookies from advertising networks.

How long we keep it

We keep your request and job records for as long as we need them to serve you and keep proper records. Visualizer photos and previews are deleted after 30 days.

Your choices

You can ask for a copy of the details we hold about you, ask us to correct them, or ask us to delete them. Call or email us and we will take care of it. To stop text messages, reply STOP to any text from us.

Children

This site is not meant for anyone under 18.
